Work in Progress February 2013 Interpretative Panel Design
A collaboration between Frankarchitecture, Grainne Carville, Wetlands Surveys Ireland, Aegis Archaeology and Kenmare Tidy Towns Committee , Kerry County Council in conjunction the the South Kerry Leader Programme for the Biodiversity Park at Reenagross Kenmare. It completed the Kenmare Heritage Trail undertaken by Frankarchitecture in 2011.
The peninsula within the Kenmare Estuary has 14 different habitats with over 300 species of flora, fauna , a Tree Ring and a Souterrain . It was originally developed as a private park by the first Marquis of Lansdowne (1739-1803) and over time has developed into one the richest biodiversity locations in Kerry.
