Context:
Shop and Treatment Rooms for Therapie within Conservation Sensitive Street Molesworth Street Dublin .
Design Challenges :
- Developing the look and feel of a new business
- Upgrading to meet Fire regulations
- Treatment of basement and damp proofing
- Working closely with Client and Interior Designer
Design Response:
The design response was to develop the branding with the client with my recommendation to engage Brand Consultants the Design Factory. The theme was oriental and the response echoed this with simple but refined materials being used , curved glass counters, invisible lighting and aromas , plants with walnut treatment rooms and joinery.The close integration of the branding of the new business and the design was crucial to its success .
Externally retro awnings and simple painted signage sympathetic to an eighteenth century street were used.

Design and design co-ordination , tendering, furniture design , client liaison and porject management of refurbishment and Fit Out as Frank Hughes Architects .
