Design and delivery of new Heritage Trail . Logo and all interpretive panels, plaques and leaflets
CONTEXT
Kenmare Tidy Towns Association launched a tender with the South Kerry Development Partnership and Kerry County Council for the upgrading of the existing 1980’s Heritage Trail for the town. Frankarchitecture was the successful submission for the design of the new Trail and logo for the town.
DESIGN CHALLENGES
- Developing a readily recognisable logo for the town
- Developing with the team loop walks, locating the panels, plaques
- Evolving a new look for the panels and leaflets that was clear and appropriate for the setting
- Incorporating historical and local documentation, images etc
DESIGN RESPONSE
- Picking up on the neoclassical period of its inception, the oval theme ran through the project
